It’s okay if you need someone to give you more detailed directions at work. it’s okay if you need to go to therapy or the hospital. It’s okay if you need help moving around. It’s okay if you need help cooking or eating. It’s okay if you need divided plates or to have your food cut up small. It’s okay if you need help using the bathroom. It’s okay if you need something to help you speak or interact with the world. It’s okay if you take medicine and go to any type of therapy. It’s okay if you need help making appointments or talking to people. It’s okay if you need help getting dressed. It’s okay if you need help cleaning. It’s okay if you need help bathing. It’s okay if you need help getting places. It’s okay if you need help budgeting or anything with money. It’s okay to need help with motivation. It’s okay if you need help regulating your emotions. It’s okay to need help taking care of yourself.

It’s okay to need help. You’re not a child. You’re not a burden. You’re not dumb or stupid or defective. You are amazing and deserving of so much love and care. Asking for help is hard and you are so amazing for figuring out your needs and doing what you need to do to make things easier for yourself. You don’t deserve a hard life.
